Normal types are fucking strong early on since they get STAB on the generic tackle/pound/scratch crap. Plus they can learn fucking everything.
Flying mons are important for the HM.
At least they spice it up a little with that shitty little bird getting a fire move of all things.
Hopefully it at least evolves into fire/flying.
