Yeah, this is the only thing that bothered me too. But let's see how it looks in the game when it's done.

I'm also a bit worried about battle speed with all those animations (and this is a person who wasn't bothered by speed in DPPl).

There's nothing that's NOT awkward and weird about this art style, it looks like a Facebook game.

I hope by the time 7th Gen rolls around they're just using more of the console Pokemon game style for everything.

Idle NPC's looked perfectly fine in Colosseum/XD because they were animated to enough degree to not look awkward.
