I don't really understand it myself, unless this main city is FUCKING HUGE. Which, would be really cool if it was. Like, if certain parts of the city were blocked off depending on how far through the three regions you are, but it opens up when you return so you can backtrack more easily.

That would be great. And it would give an excuse for cars, since there doesn't seem to be any roads anywhere. Cars are such a mysterious force in Pokemon, anyway.

I'm guessing Gogoat doesn't come til later, and the taxi, while it has set routes, is faster, so if you know where you are headed you could take that, where as for roaming purposes you use Gogoat,
