If a source say something confirming the fairy type, it becomes the most reliable source and we should take all it said as truth. The source can change status in less than a day, depending of what it says. See Hiro, who was a random spics when he said flying, and become the most reliable source on the internet when he said fairy.
We can also take the smash example, when the preview come and we had the "fighting type confirmed" joke thread, fairyfags say that we shouldn't take smash seriously, smash air and fairyfags said that we had a fairy type who will be weak to fighting and poison, and strong against ice, but now that we have pokébeach leaks that seems legit, it's smash that we didn't interpret right.
And they want that we take them seriously.
I'm not against a new type, even a fairy type that could be a great type, but when its defender are like that, I just want that we don't have a fairy type just like that they are wrong and just shut up.
