>>12330197What if, given the number of rivers, the first couple routes are going from the starting area to Lumiose City, then you go by foot to one route towards one point of the "star", then after doing whatever you do there, circle around by water route until you reach the next land route, head towards the next point of the "star" circle around via another river, that could be the idea for most of the game until you've done whatever you have to do at each point. Or there could be two towns/cities/areas of some importance at each point, one only accessible by land route, the other by river.
