haha, nope. could you imagine the outcry about a homosexual relationship in a pokemon game? nintendo wouldn't want the bad publicity- even if it was in the japanese version it would be removed (a la Harvest Moon Cute) to make the fundies happen.

the ferris wheel dialogue was really toned down for the english version- Hiker Andy is just nervous about heights in the english version (there's nothing relationship-like about it) whereas in the japanese version he has no qualms about the ferris wheel and talks about how 'hot' it is in there.

thanks for proving my point i guess? any same sex romantic/sexual/flirting/whatever is removed from the english translation.

i think nintendo would allow a 'romance' with an opposite gender rival, but a same sex one would completely be out of the question because people suck.
