1. Nintendo hardly ever makes new IPs anyway, and
2. Just putting Red/Blue to Emerald on the eShop would take away about zero seconds and a negligible, possibly nonexistent, amount of money from the development of X and Y. Not to mention
3. It would both allow people to experience the older games at a cheaper price and with a higher degree of authenticity than a remake would allow and
4. It would just be really cool to be able to play all six generations of Pokemon on a 3DS, and since it wouldn't siphon resources from new games, you're just an ignorant retard who hates when other people have joy in their lives if you disagree.
And I'm not advocating for remakes at all.
