Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone could help me start out on Pokemon. I've beaten all generations of each game but I've only played by myself due to not having wifi and my friends feel they are too cool to play pokemon. Now that I have wifi and can possibly play with other people or trade pokemon I need help on where to start on such a broad world.

I've just restarted Pokemon Black 2 and beat it and idk what to do besides play pokemon White 2 and catch the legendary pokemon as shiny.

Really I want to understand breeding and why you people breed and how to get all 600+ pokemon without game sharks and stuff like that. I understand I am a noob to this so please bear with me.

Also I would like to learn natures and understand how they can better my pokemon.

I’ve been lurking on this board going on a month now and I just get overwhelmed by the knowledge of pokemon you guys have. I’ve been under a rock all these years and the only thing I’ve been doing for fun was catching all pokemon only with pokeballs and going for shiny legendary pokemon with soft resets.

Can anyone out here be kind enough to help? I know I’m asking alot of information but if you could help me with one thing at a time that would be nice to.

Why do you breed them? Do you trade them for other pokemon you want? Nature? Shiny? Your reason and why should I breed.
