So does Oshawott leave Ash in the new episode or is it another of those "Pikachu says goodbye" kind of episodes were he only almost leaves?

Yeah, his scalchop is broken in two right now. It's stuck together by plaster, but it sure as hell won't be as solid anymore. I say it's going to lead us to an evolution eventually.

Ash doesn't refuse any evolution. His water starters just don't even up evolving. In fact Ash got excited at the idea of Bulbasaur evolving before learning it didn't want to evolve.
