I haven't played a Pokémon game in over a decade. I was a Gen 1 fag but played a bit of Gold/Silver. I'm 23 now and I can't think of a game, handheld or otherwise, that gave me the feels that playing Red/Blue for the first time did.

So my question to you lot is, what have I missed? What game should I try first since a bunch have hit the shelves since I last played the series. Which is the superior installment, which will give me those Red/Blue feels all over again?

I will be playing it on an emulator as well, so if that makes a difference...
