Five generations are enough for me. I'm not going to bother with Gen VI unless that there is evidence that there is effort towards making the franchise more playable.
Many base stats need rebalancing, many Pokemon types need to be more flexible, and certain moves need to be less omnipotent.
More love should be emphasized with unevolved Pokemon (Think Stadium Petit Cup), no final stage Pokemon should be joke-tier, let Flareon learn Flare Blitz for crying out loud! and make it possible for Pokemon stats to be maximized without having to resort to hacking.
Oh, and give steel a use by having it beat dragon. Okay that's not mandatory, but a guy can dream right?
Good companies that make multiplayer based games pay attention to the community nowadays and make adjustments to make sure there are many ways to play the game on a competitive scale and have fun. If the creators have yet to realize this, then consider myself finally ready to outgrow the franchise.
