Of course you had Jill and Chris mode, but for each of them you also had Easy, Normal, and Hard. And then you had the insane modes like Realistic (hard mode with item boxes unlinked and autoaim disabled) One Tough Zombie, Invisible Zombies, etc.

So you don't want anything that helps you organize everything and does useful stuff?

So all Pokemon should be exactly the same in terms of stats and moves? That's the only way you're going to achieve balance with over 700 Pokemon, and that makes it incredibly boring. Just like in real life, some things are amazing and some things suck.

The only thing "stagnant" about Pokemon is the basic story, and it doesn't need changing. I know tons of Pokemon fans like making grimdark edgy fan fictions and want to see the games copy them, but Pokemon doesn't need to become deep and dark and emo. Do you want it to become like "Shadow the Hedgehog" and "Sonic 2006"?

Things have improved slightly, but I really want to see places similar to Pyrite Town and The Under again. Those things could still be there, but I'd like to see new stuff. Even colo was able to mix it up, and while the game had its flaws, I can appreciate it for being different.

Hey, it's not like there's Pokemon series where you don't get badges and beat an elite four while stopping evil teams. If you're tired of the main series then play Ranger, Mystery Dungeon, Colosseum and XD, Nobunaga's Ambition, Puzzle League, Stadium, Battle Revolution, Snap, Pinball.

Suggest some ideas of stories for the main series. Ones that are long and arcing enough to last an entire game.
