Yep. I used to use a reversal scizor back in Gen 3. Those were the days when entry hazards weren't nearly as prevalent and the only common weather effect was sandstorm. And quick attack, mach punch, and extremespeed were the only priority attacks. Scizor was the only sub-salac-reversal that wouldn't die in sandstorm.

It was always a risky tactic, but it was always fucking awesome when it paid off right.

Gen 3 was fun like that, you could get away with gimmicky sets like Bellywrath and SunnyBeam Shiftry. Call me a Hoenn fag or whatever, but ADV was a fun meta.

indeed. I kinda miss it, really. At the time I was pissed off about standard play being full of skarmblisses and those bulky water faggots like suicune and milotic, but now I miss it.

Of course, I typically stuck with UU teams because I liked trying all sorts of funky strategies. One of my favorites was belly drum hypno, who ALWAYS caught people off-guard. And I swept many a team with bellydrum extremespeed linoone.
