I stopped playing Pokemon after G/S/C and just recently decided to get back.

Bought SS and W2. I've played through SS twice already, played once through W2 and left it forever. It's shit and boring.

I know it's a continuation of the plot in the first B/W, but how do they handle the beginning? Like, what's the justification of having to start all over?

In any case, it takes place two years later and you start in a completely new town on the other side of Unova from where B/W1 started.

The "story" in Johto is garbage. Silver was edgy incarnate with his "hmph you will always suck and I will be better" attitude. Then they somehow managed to make Team Rocket even worse than they were in Kanto, and that's saying something. Also, "slow"? What the fuck? I never noticed anything slow about the gameplay or the story. Either way, I have no idea how the story relates to why it's boring.
