No. The older viewers are wrong in expecting things that they want in a show that isn't for them. It's the same thing that you hoping that Dora the Explorer or some other children's show was fun for all ages.
It's a shame, they could make the show for a target audience a little older and thus fix a lot of things. The anime is for 8 year olds, they could ajust for 12 or something. It would still be stupid for us, but not SO stupid as the anime currently is.
OR they could make another anime based on Adventures or something. This would be great.
