Except Excadrill doesn't even need eviolite, and is already good on its own. Besides, why the fuck would you put an eviolite on a sweeper?

I've used a Baton Passing Scyther once, and admittedly, it can take a hit.
Still, if GF can let Scyther slip away with an eviolite, then why not Excadrill?

But no. Forretress is much better at setting up hazards, it's not that good at getting rid of them (in Ubers, it does a pretty good job in OU), thanks to it's inability to beat spinblockers, such as everyone's favorite - Giratina.

Excadrill also has no evolution. We're talking about possible evolutions in XY. And Eviolite Forretress would be much better than Eviolite Excadrill in spinning.

Pretty much exactly this. Saying

would be like people saying, "hell no, Gamefreak won't introduce pokemon with Attack over x in Gen IV, not with Choice Band around!"

And what happened in Gen IV? 5 new Pokemon with Base attack 130 or higher. And on top of that, Choice Specs and 2 box legendaries with base 150 SpA came into play.
