Should I get a 3DS and then Pokemon Black or White? Haven't played since Pokemon Heartgold. Would it be easy to start back up and get into?

Get BW2, much better if you don't care about the story that much.
BW2 are sequels (not 3rd version), they're set 2 years later than the first games in the same region with many more places to visit. There's also much more content and, unlike BW1, you will encounter pokemon from all generations throughout the main storyline (BW1 had only pokemon from the 5th generetion until the post-game).

Get BW, they're great games.

It's the best value in the pokemon series. An absolutely massive amount of meaningful content and shit to do, and a story that doesn't require you play BW1 to understand.

Also pick up some boss ass 3DS games like Fire Emblem and Luigi's Mansion. Mario 3D Land is better than New Super Mario 2 IMO, but they're both great.

GET A 3DS THEY ARE ACTUALLY WORTH HAVING NOW!
