1) They test to see if Slyveon is super effective versus ice
2) She does well enough they decide she might be steel type
3) Therefore she is as effective against that ice as a steel type would be
4) How effective is that? Super effective
Alternate logic:
1) The ice test indicated Sylveon might be steel type
2) If she wasn't super effective against ice, the ice test would not have indicated she might be steel type
3) Therefore either it must have or Nintendo lied to Smash
Either logic chain tells you that either she's as good as Steel in this context or Nintendo is a bunch of fucking liars and the poison weakness isn't confirmed either, what with the fact they were probably lying about that too.
