The sweepers completely outclass Metagross in terms of power and coverage, the bulky waters in defensive utility. It sucks even in UU, it will drop to RU.

I've had people from smogon, other forums, and even in here who ragequit on me because they underestimate my anti-lead Metagross, and then proceed to break down walls and poke holes for my set up sweepers.

I've been using this made up set since Platinum, and it works so good. You people just need to make a team that will have enough synergy to make a Pokemon work. People these days just don't want to try. They just want to throw in Scizor, Volcarona, and other OUs and expect to win without skill.

Anywho, I would actually do that, but my set works with my IV and EV spread, and for Pokemon I make up, I actually treasure them.

Protip, if anyone wants to properly use Metagross to his full potential, don't try running him in a generic offensie/hyper offensive team. Try breaking from the OU list, and utulize other mons who will work great in a Offensive Bulk/Offensive Bulk/Stall team.

I'm not trying to bullshit anyone, it just works. And it catches people off guard because they just assume Metagross sucks and won't really pack a punch.

Anyway Metagross is easily outclassed offensively and defensively. What he's good at is being able to talk on about a million dofferent roles at once for teams that have trouble fitting everything into 6 pokemon slots

And this why I never bother posting in these types of threads. The few times that I actually do, there'll be people like you, trying to disprove someone just because something doesn't work for you.

An example would be, when people were running Mence and Chomp instead of Dragonite, just because it was outclassed by Mence and Chomp, it didn't 100% mean that Dnite sucked and would forever sucked. It just means that you have to think outside the box and try different ways to use it. That applies to just about every Pokemon (excluding those who actually do suck).

to be fair it is officially connected to Gamefreak and is one of their serious avenues for announcements even if it is a bit silly. I highly doubt they just go dropping tidbits about yet to be announced information willy nilly.

Terrakion is still a big threat but he's fallen out of the lime light, especially since sweeper variants are disappearing in favour of CB and SubSD
