And in these days, that makes up like 90% of the people who wear said article of clothing. So you have nobody running around looking good in a Fedora, which just puts the association in our minds that fedoras and autistics go together and scares away the people who would look good in a fedora, leaving none of them left and the autistics to be autistics in fedoras.
Good thing we have fiction and old movies, I guess.
