This has been bugging me for too long. I legitimately want a fairy-naysayer to give me an explanation for this. How could you possibly think Sylveon is anything but a new type (Fairy for reference.)

There is so much weight to suggest that it is Fairy (or something equivalent) type.

Every name for the Pokemon refers to Fairies to some extent from Sylphs, Nymphs, Feels (?). History has shown that every Eeveelution has been given a very obvious appearance and name that directly correlates with its type. The very fact that there is so much discussion around this topic is testament that Nintendo marketed this thing perfectly.

Smash's typing proved that no current type would sustain the effectiveness of Sylveon to other types, and yet you still preach for Bug/Flying/Dragon god knows what.

Explain yourselves.
