I plan on going in blind so that I need to learn everything about the towns and routes for myself. I only just discovered Unity Tower in Black 2 today because I had never traded overseas before. It was a good feeling discovering something I'd missed so far after the completion of the game. I want to explore every nook and cranny of this region and have that feeling.

I would rather know everything there is to know about the game so I don't miss things. It's nice to have that 'fresh adventure' feeling, but the thought of missing a Potion or Repel in some cave niche is more stressful than the adventure feeling is pleasant.

Assuming the ability to pass on IVs remains we can transfer pokemon over from Gen V then we will know the Base Stats of all the pokemon eventually. The pokemon fandom is autistic enough to calculate all of the new pokemons stats if need be.
