Ashe is the only other consistent thing on the show, and considering he's a bland as fuck loser with absolutely no character development, I'm sure that Team Rocket is the only thing worth watching the show for anymore.

Voice acting was better (considering it was 4kids, it wasn't bad), less filler episodes, better songs (again, not really good, just better than the new stuff), and overall just more bearable to watch.
The only thing TPCi has going for its dub is less unneeded editing.

Pokemon was the only 4kids show that they actually put effort on in terms of voice acting. Yeah, that also meant that we got rice balls replaced with donuts and shit, but the original voice actors were far better than the ones we've got now. Not to mention the dialogue is so awkward that it feels like they just stick the japanese script through google translate and just roll with it; 4kids did a better job at localizing as well.

I'd mostly say it's true that TR are the most developed characters in the entire show, although their stint in BW now looks odd since they decided to just go back to the way it was. I will still defend, however, it was an improvement for them, and the next step in their character. Apocrypha would dictate that TR never really changed and the serious thing was an act all along. Honestly, the only thing they could do to top everything would be to actually succeed in catching Pikachu, but the only way that could happen is if they wanted to eliminate TR entirely. I don't think that's going to happen any time soon. If they did, I would want TR to turn good since I've never been convinced they're truly evil. Loyal to Giovanni, yes, but evil? I don't think so.
