I have a question to those of you who have gen 5 as their favourite gen. Do you actually like Unova for its unique features or do you just like it because it's the latest and most up-to-date game?

Will you probably have X and Y as your favourite games as soon as they're released?

I like Unova [Bw2] as a region and I like the latest updates.

So far every gen suprassed the previous one, and I expect Gen 6 to suprass Gen 5

I enjoy the increased difficulty in battles and having the new Pokemon, who are not only well-designed aesthetically, but gameplay-wise as well.
I think BW is behind some of the other games though. Way too tutorial-y, handed shit out to you at the drop of a hat, and doctors were fucking everywhere. BW2 cut a lot of that shit out.

In my case, it's quite simple.
Pkm Pt got me bored before finishing it and I didn't enjoy SS as much as I wish.
B2 in the other hand was great, I barely could stop playing.
Even though I couldn't enjoy B/W, overall gen 5 was funnier than gen 4 to me.

I like it because IMO it's overall the best. The Pokemon, the Team, the music(dat Village Bridge), everything about it is great. The only problem it has is the linearity, but that really doesn't bother me since every game has a little bit of linearity if you think about it (and backtracking is not a good way of negating it).

I like Gen5 because it simply rebooted the series, gave the most worth-while story/plot to the series yet, and introduced a lot of new Pokemon that were seen as being drastically different than the previous Gens.

Will I like Gen6 just as much? Have to play and find out, but I've never really been disappointed with a main-series Pokemon title.

I think Black & White were the funnest campaigns, but there was NOTHING to do after the Elite Four. Find the seven sages, but you don't even battle them. They just give you a TM and they're hauled off.

B2/W2 was definitely better with stuff to do afterwards with Black Tower, all those legendaries, the new towns to explore. While it wasn't my favorite, I would saw B2 is my second favorite after G/S/C

I base my "Favorite Gen" off of which one I have the most fun playing.
I had the most fun playing Gen 5. I don't particularly think it has the best pokemon or region, but those things don't dictate if it's fun or not.

If Gen 6 is more fun (which it looks to be so far), then it will become my favorite Gen.

The doctors were a good addition. They don't make the game any easier, they just make it less tedious. You don't have to walk all the way back to the Pokemon center to heal.

My favorite post-game content games had to be FR/LG. Technically HG/SS have the most stuff after the E4, but that's balanced out by johto being so small/short.
