Whether you like the idea of a Fairy type or not, you must admit that out of all the ideas for a new type, it's the most likely, and the easiest to fit into the game.

We already have two families of Pokemon classified as the Fairy Pokemon, and an entire egg group dedicated to Pokemon that look like fairies.
