How exactly does "helping someone's adventures" work in BW1?

I need pass powers to get my last trainer star in White 1, but I can't do it without this nonsense. Catching 649 Pokemon was easier than this.

1. Pass Orbs = Pass Power currency
2. Pass powers are activated through the IR button in game, they are boosts for 2-5 minutes for most RNG/Calculated aspects of the game.
3. BW1 doesn't have funfest, they have REQUIRED IR missions, you need 2 DS or a friend to do them.
4. Two people go into the Entralink. They become entralinked through IR.

For white 1 you need two games.

Because honestly I feel like it would be sort of fun to do with my friends, and none of them are going to go out of their way to drive over here to do entralink missions.

I meant if they come back in Gen 6, they make them wifi accessible.
I already know you can't wifi half the good stuff in Gen 5.

Oops, I meant wireless.

But from my experience, the Entralink doesn't work too well with ROM carts for some reason, but it may have been because I was using a 3DS and my friend was using his DSLite.

Funfest missions can be done solo for the most part, it's just a bit more difficult (and impossible in some cases) to get high enough scores.

Oh, I do hope Gen 6 brings back Funfest missions and such, and new Wi-fi features that use the main OW.

Funfest missions are a very nice source of resources otherwise harder to get in-game (Berries, treasure, PP restoratives)

Too bad I need White 1's pass powers rather than White 2, and I can't do those solo.
I guess I'll go download a Black 1 rom, get to Nimbasa, and hope for the best.

I... what? Okay so I know I can use pass orbs to buy things like boosted EXP or boosted chance of wild pokemon or stuff like that, and use them in my game. But I've gone into my friend's game before with Entralink in White, she had Black, she didn't do anything, she met my disguised character, found the berry I left somewhere, etc. What's the two player Entralink?

And I haven't even touched all those funfest missions and entralink things in Black 2

Quite simple actually, each game has a few game specific missions, however you can use the Entralink to contend in one of the other games missions, some pass powers are version "exclusive", but you can increase the opposite level of your game by playing these Black/White exclusive missions with another person with the opposite game.
