I only ever found one Shiny in my time playing Pokemon. It was on my first playthrough of Pokemon White when the game first came out. I ran into a Shiny Venipede and almost didn't believe it. I captured it and ended up using it for the rest of the playthrough even though I hadn't planned on it.

I still have him although he's a Scolipede now, the shiny version looks infinitely better

87 is some kinda lucky. Also, the physical fake out is there for Doubles TR setting help. Aqua Jet wasn't even kept.

Friend traded me a Growlithe from HG, I bred that and got a shiny growlithe and shit my pants. I got my favorite pokemon shiny just a few days after geodude which was my first shiny
I also think I gave my friend a shiny zapdos without realizing but not sure

My first real shiny seen and its a tragedy.

since then ive caught a shiny: Clamperl (now a golden gorebyss), carvanha (spamming for feebas one day, now a purple sharpedo), shiny whismur (now a purple exploud), and the first pokemon I caught in black/white who is now a disappointing purple headed unfezant.

I've only seen and caught three Shinys in the many years I've been playin' Pokemon, all caught in Mt. Silver in SoulSilver.

Two Shiny Onixs, male and female. The male had a shit nature, so I just traded him to a friend to evolve a Magmar to Magmotar. But the female, named Jasmine after the GL, has a Impish nature, benefiting the stats that matter, so I evolved her into a Steelix. Not to mention that its Ability is Rock Head, so I taught her Double-Edge. Man, that shit is overkill.

The only other one I've caught is a Shiny Ursaring named Hulk. Its nature is Brave and Ability is Quick Feet, which is a good combo. And just like his namesake, Hulk can wreak your shit up with Thrash and Outrage.
