Overgrow/Torrent/Swarm/[the fire one?] heal from their respective type (and an offense boost?)

An ability that ensures nothing on the field can be changed while the pokemon is out. Things like a 5-turn rain dance will still run out, but a ninetales coming in to get rid of the drizzle won't stop rain.
Rapid spin also doesn't get rid of hazards. Trick room doesn't get rid of trick room, etc.
and the poke that gets it has 150/100/100 defenses

A gym themed after a reconnaissance base. The leader would have a team consisting of types that are super-effective against every pokemon the player's leveled up to a minimum.
If the leader gets less than six pokemon out of this, the rest of them are Ghost or Dark.

Secret bases return. Mixing records happens automatically when you do anything involving other people. That means anything from friend trades to random online battles to trading with someone on the GTS (or non-broken equivalent)

Hold on, bro. I'm getting there. You have the ability to outfit your secret base as your own personal POKEMON GYM. Design your gym with traps and puzzles and hire trainers to staff it. People that beat your gym are given your gym badge, where its added to their collection (it'd be in the c-gear equivalent instead of being mixed together with the real badges)

You know those placebo affects you used to do when trying to get a crit or catch a pokemon. You know, "the faster you tap A the better your odds" or "press down+B when the ball wiggles to catch it"?

Well those *actually work* in Gen 6. BUT the game makes no indication of this. And when people start wondering (as they always do) if any of these techniques work, everyone dismissively says its bullshit. EXCEPT THIS TIME ITS NOT, but they'll never find out because they dismissed the idea long ago.

I know this is a shitty idea thread, but I think there's a way to expand on this and still make it not suck.

In order to release any Pokemon, you must be connected to the internet. Any Pokemon you release ends up being beamed into some central bank over the GTS; by doing certain things in game, you are given other people's released Pokemon. Therefore no Pokemon is truly gone forever.

The move Double Team changes the strength of your 3D slider and causes it to go out of focus. Every time an enemy pokemon uses the move (which is literally all the time) you gotta readjust your 3D slider.

and if you have the 3D slider set to off, it makes 3D effects as strong as possible.

Ingrain stops it from being forced out, which resets Slow Start. And substitute keeps it alive, with ingrain healing back some of what it loses. When they finally break through, Regigigas will be up and running with very little health lost (hopefully).

as for the gym badges... ideally you'd be able to design your own, but they'd probably be worried that everyone would make dick badges. So they could have randomly generating designs based on your ID number or something.

I like difficulty modes (especially built-in nuzlocke) but the easy/normal/hard are done all wrong.

Don't just increase pokemon to higher levels. On higher difficulties, trainers use better movesets and teams (like, balanced teams instead of HURR DURR 6 BIDOOFS). Harder difficulties would also have smarter AI that actually changes tactics depending on what pokemon you have out and will even switch out if at a disadvantage.

You have a mean rival with a super nice little sister (or brother, depending on genders). She tags along, showing off her cute little unevolved pokes along the journey the same as her brother challenges you.

You beat the elite 4, go to the next room, and your rival is standing there. Then the little sister walks in, pulls a gun, AND SHOOTS YOUR RIVAL IN THE HEAD

Turns out she's part of the evil organization all along, and challenges you for the final match, nuzlocke style (already fainted ones are safe, but any who faint in the battle are force-released).

If you win, she is hauled off to jail, and there's no Elite 4 rematch due to the controversy. An underground Elite 4 will open up after a few in-game days, though.
