>>12390851Would you like a medal for doing that?
>>12390925I suppose if you look at it a certain way, then it could be considered cheating to some extent. Still, despite that, it is also one of the strategic aspects of the game. Despite knowing what the opponent will have, you still need to choose your own Pokemon, which you may or may not always have a counter for.
It is merely a play style for the most part. Is it an easier of the two play styles? Yes. Is it a bad thing that should be looked down upon? No. Why does it matter if others play using Shift or not while you have the balls to play on Set?
I, myself, play on Shift. Partly the reason is because I always forget that Shift/Set exists, and partly because I prefer to play the game like that. I prefer to get battles over as quickly as possible because I like to basically steamroll the trainers as much as I can. Shift allows me to just simply get the battle over quicker.
And there's nothing wrong with that at all. You can decry someone for being 'casual' about it, or you can toss your balls around and talk about how it makes you the better gamer, but the fact of the matter is that not everybody shares the same ideals in regards to what play style to use.
And in general, just why does it matter? What is it you gain by grumping at others? Does it honestly piss you off? If so, then you need to take a step back and think.
