Ground and Flying are my top two favourite types. Mostly because most of my favourite Pokemon are Ground or Flying-type.

Grass has always been my favorite. Not really sure why though, to be honest. Guess I just like the designs. Shame gamefreak constantly shits on grass pokemon by making the most things resistant to it and giving it a metric fuckton of weaknesses. And before Gen IV, basically no decent moves compared to its elemental equivalents.

The typing I HATE the most is probably Flying. I don't even see it as a type; anything with wings just gets flying. To me that's like saying anything that walks on legs should be ground type.

I had hoped they'd get firefly evolutions (kinda equivalent to nidoking/queen) but with volcarona filling the firefly niche, I guess that will never happen.

Ice type. My very first playthrough of a Gen IV game, I did an Ice monotype run and it was fantastic. It's because my favorite pokemon are all ice type (Weavile) or water type (Lapras).

Normal is the best type in my opinion.

Ice. It wasn't my favourite type until recently, I loved it after making a mono-ice team for a fan gym league and it turned out way better than expected. Spheal line, Vanillite and Froslass are my favourites.

It was Pearl. A friend had gotten well ahead of me, so he transferred me eggs. I started with a Sneasel and hatched eggs whenever I felt ready to add another member to my team. If I remember though, he only gave me 3 eggs, and the other 3 Pokemon I caught as I reached them.

One weakness, that, with the right movepool, can be combated. Three resistances and SE against two of the most common types in the game. They usually look really awesome.

and yet, gamefreak apparently hates them, and shows this by either giving them crappy stats, shit abilities and wrong allocations of stats

Electric's my overall favorite type. They look great and are a lot of fun to use.

Runners-up are ghost, steel, ground, and grass. Ghosts also have consistently good designs and are fun to battle with. Steel and ground are great types and usually look pretty good, too. Grass is pretty shit battle-wise but I'm a sucker for most grass pokemon designs.

Bug is odd, because I'm pretty afraid of most bugs, with the exception of caterpillars, butterflies, moths, and pill-bugs. They just tend to have interesting designs and concepts behind them (Paras, Crustle, Shedinja/Ninjask, etc.) and are pretty useful.

Rock type also houses a good few of my favorite pokemon, pretty much for the same reason as Bug, plus I love defensive pokes.
