I don't even think archeops would be OU if it had something besides defeatist. It's got shit defenses; weak to bullet punch, ice shard, and aqua jet; mediocre at best typing.

Hell Archeops is not even that broken. Okay yes, he is fast and hits like a truck but his special movepool is hilariously bad and RockFlying is a bad typing

Hell, why couldn't they just give him Rock head, or even something shitty like Keen Eye?

The part that doesn't make sense is that, once it gets it's Unburden boost, it's speed rises to SANIC levels, and it has 140/112 offenses to demolish it's oponents.

I think something like Unnerve would be better. A neutral ability. Doesn't make it better, doesn't make it worse.

Rock Head would be great.

Dem Head Smashes. Archeops is a pokemon that can't really use it's best move because it gets crippled after doing it.

I used an Archeops in my first Black and White playthrough

He was a fucking boss, sure he went down like a sack of bricks but usually just one Acrobatics was enough to kill stuff.

I'm not much into the whole competitive scene but I can see he's crippled for it (despise tier lists and minmaxing shit)

That's like 90% of the problem with Hyper Beam's recharge time and mostly why you would want to "void" the recharge time.

The recharge time still has its debuffs, which are even worse than Traunt normally.
