To my recollection, Base set Charizard came in a booster deck that you could freely purchase. EVERYONE HAD ONE.

Really pissed me off that everyone at the TCG league I went to was all HURR THIS'LL BE WORTH HUNDREDS SOME DAY. Every. Single. One of them.

Does anyone know how much the base set foil Alakazam is worth nowadays? It was the first rare I got and since it was the first nr.1 card I thought that it might be worth somthing one day.

It felt good. Real good.

I stopped buying cards around one of the last Johto packs. One of my cousins had stolen my binder full of holos, real good holos. I had gotten it back BUT a few were missing, but had a few new ones, guess he traded some. 1st edition Charizard was still there, and about a week later I found out he had stolen someone elses binder, and his younger brother sneaked that binder to my place, and then I decided to just sell my cards, and the ones my little cousin had given me.

No, they change which cards are allowed each "season." Right now I think it's only the Black and White base set, and then everything more recent. The old cards don't hold up like they used to, I found out. Played a friend who had all new cards and I had a base through Team Rocket grass deck, and got demolished.

Nope. Pokemon uses the same system MTG uses. They have cycles, and in every cycle (if I'm correct) a pack or two will be cycled out. Right now, all of the HGSS packs already got cycled out.

It ruined my Reshiram/Typhlosion deck I had made with the help of my friend, it was a pro deck. I just quit after that. Right now, the card game is being ruled by Legendaries (Mewtwo, Darkrai, ect), and that's pretty wack.

Bebe's search is horribly out of date if it's giving you those sorts of numbers. 97 for a Plasma Charizard even on release was a stretch. You can very easily pick them up for 45-55 on eBay.

15 dollars for a base set charizard unlimited is accurate if it's early-mid 2011 but they have risen a lot since then.
