Why aren't that many good Pokemon hacks out there?

I beat Blaze Black and had a good time but now as I try to play Black 2 I find myself being bored as hell even with Challenge Mode.

Are there any other good Pokemon hacks out there?

Blaze Black/Volt White 2.

You definitely won't be bored with that challenge mode.

Why you don't play B2 but in Hardcore Nuzlocke Mode? just activate Challenge Mode, and put some rules like, idk, monotype, limited Pokémon Centers, don't use TMs, etc.

Now that I think, I will do that when I finish Blaze Black 2.

BB/VW2 Challenge Mode has Skyla as a triple battle. Every other gym leader is singles.

Nah, switching off Challenge Mode before the fight would make me feel bad. I'll just do what I always do with hacks and force it to be on set for the Gym Leaders.

This, all of the pokemon are useable and it provides a challenge. Especially in the case of Burgh who went from a pushover to a destroyer of Nuzlocke runs.

If you know a bit of 2ch, it proves to be very funny and entertaining, but if you don't then don't even bother.
Features: only OC types/pokemon/map/story/attacks/abilities based on 2ch stuff.

Lack of tools and tutorials for the newer generation poke-games.
If only it was that easy to eddit the maps, scripts,text etc. like it is in 3d gen games.

I'm surprised that I haven't come across hacks like BB and VW for the 3rd gen games. Sometimes all I want is just a harder experience that doesn't rely on me having to make up rules.

I wish it were the latter, because that would just be a challenge. It's closer to the former, with trainers having more and higher-levelled pokemon, particularly gym leaders. I eventually gave myself some rare candies so I could keep up without needing to grind as much. Other than that, there's some nice stuff given to you.

How good is Blaze Black? I'd kinda interested but worried that its

1) just harder by making trainers have ridiculous levels and forcing you to minmax shit?
2) I know they change certain things like evolutions and moves and shit, is there a list of the changes to each pokemon? Going in blind doesn't appeal to me if pokemon I usually disregard are actually good

No. The levels are upped sure, but most of the difficulty comes from the moves and items given to the Pokemon.

Also there is an included document set which lists every change the hack makes.

not everybody that makes pokemon hacks is doing it to make a game. most of them are more interested in trying to tell a story, but then they realize it's a pokemon hack so they change a bunch of stuff without worrying about balance.

There's a patch that applies the Phis/spec split function to FR & E but you have to edit the mooves with PGE move editor to put them in the right group.

It's more of a proble for the physicall movepool in gen3 games. Dark was designated as a special type instead of physicall. Special Bite hue hue.
Look i have a hack with redistributed stats,movepools, abillities and the spec/phis split ready for emerald. Am i going to release it? Hell no untill i edit the whole map and trainer distribution.

Some types like Dark don't really have a special moveset while others like Psychic don't have a physical moveset if you implement the split.
