Also, in addition to Wartortle and Ivysaur being way cooler then either of their evolutions, Haunter's design is leagues better than Gengar. That being said, I still use the fuck out of Gengar.

Give people the simplicity they ask for and all they do is complain about it. Pokemon are best when they are simple, look at Bulbasaur, Charmander & Squirtle they are simple with a attribute alluding to their types, Plant bulb, flame on the tail & a wave shaped tail. Herdier looks like a dog because its based on a dog, its nice and simple, and it does have a type alluding attribute because its a normal type. Tbh Lillipup & Herdier (not Stoutland) would've fit in nicely in Gen 1 and right now all you people would be saying its original and nostalgic because its so simply designed.

Herdier is definitely one of my favorite Gen 5 (meybe overall) pokeman. Actually didn't evolve it to stoutland because it's so ugly. Same thing with Glameow. Why do they do this?

I generally like most Gen 4 evos (yes because I can form my own opinions instead of going with the hivemind), But I always liked Magmar over Magmortar

I know a lot of people call him ugly, or "butt-face" but he has some weird charm. He looks like a brute that resides in Volcanos and swims in Lava and I really enjoy it.

It's a shame he didn't get a decent in-game sprite since Gen 3

Also Scraggy. He has a perfect mix of "bizarre" and "cute" going on. Scrafty I think it jumped the shark with that retarded expression

This fucker right here. Once the first Gen 5 Pokemon were revealed he was my favorite, Sewaddle gave me hope that the shitfest that was Gen 4 was left behind and the Gen 5 Pokemon would have good designs.
Then I saw his evolutions.
I have never used this son of a bitch. I hated him so much (for what he would eventually become) that I started to like the Venipede line out of spite. Now they're among my favorite Gen 5 Pokemon.

This nigga is my literally my favourite Pokémon and do I hope it gets an evolution this gen. Ever since I was a kid I've been obsessed with the thought of aliens. Once this guy came in gen 5, and I learned that he "mysteriously appeared in the desert", I had to get one. I hate Mamoswine and Magnezone.
Piloswine and Magneton are two of my favorite pokemon.
Their evolutions have been around almost 7 or so years and I've never evolved them.

You know, Electivire was one of the few gen 4 egos I actually liked the design of. Then again, that could be because I had Pokemon Blue and therefore never found him in my first game so I probably am less nostalgic about him than most.

I can forgive almost any evolution except Rhyperior since it ruined the evolutionary prospects of one of my favorite Pokemon ever.
