It's not even that broad, OP specifically said he didn't know Pokemon games existed before Ruby and Sapphire released.

I was a fan of pokemon, but I didn't know the games existed until halfway through Johto. But I did make sure to play the early games

Chimcar is my favorite gen 4 starter.

I never liked Charizard, and once stole a classmate's base set charizard card and jammed it into an ant pile at recess. I'm quite proud of this one.

My pokemon confession is that I only catch and release legendaries, never use them, because it feels like pokemon who are basically demigods should not be enslaved by a ten-year-old punk.

Also, I've cared that much for a starter pokemon and half the time I pick water so they can be my HM mule later.

When I played Gold, I never reached Mount Silver, so never saw it in the wild. It was only once I started dabbling in competitive that I found out.

I still haven't played a Gen 2 game, but I played HG/SS so now I probably never will experience Johto as intended.
Probably because of this I constantly bash on Johto's Pokemon (fucking babies and forgettable bullshit)
I like Boogie's art.
I hack Pokemon by hacking two perfect IV ones and then breeding them together and raising the baby.
For this reason I don't hack legendaries because I don't know how to PID or RNG stuff.

I don't capture pokemon based on their strength or usefulness. I only catch ones I like or ones that evolve into things I like. As an example, I really like Ampharos but I never let Snivy or Zorua evolve.

My favorite pokemon is Raichu and as a result I feel that Pikachu is vastly overrated and undeserving of its fame when it's evolved form is 100% cooler AND cuter.

I had a crush on lt.Surge when I was little and to an extent still do. I also want Gary's dick.
