>>12412819Pokemon should have two abilities - one is a strength, one is debilitating. It would make pokemon much more interesting to use, because everyone has something to be afraid of besides Type weaknesses.
---
For example, Dragonite has:
Guts: Ups attack if suffering
Cold Wind: Acts like Gravity if Hail is in effect.
---
Or maybe Delcatty has:
Normalize: All attacks are Normal-typed.
Wet Fur: Defense drops a stage when hit by a Water-attack
(cats don't like water)
---
Or perhaps we could look at Parasect:
Effect Spore: May inflict status condition
Zombified: Chance of flinching rises by 10%
Better abilities could be allowed now that weaknesses are implemented, like for Magnezone:
Levitate: Ground-type immunity
Light Metal: Wind-based moves (like Gust) do 20% extra damage.
---
I know it sounds like it'd weaken every pokemon. But with a debilitating ability, stronger pokemon can't simply rely on their type to win.
