What if I just made it so the game is flawless, everyone loves it, but then after like one hour of everyone playing it to their hearts content, the game never works ever again and not even ROMS and emulators can play the game properly and nobody can get past the first few gym leaders and see all of the new pokemon available. That game would be pretty shitty.

People would LOVE a hoenn remake, they cry about how much they want it. So if you promised them a one ... Then make awesome advertisement ... Act like it's like the fucking best thing ever, like followeing pokemon etc.
Then you release the game.
It's awful. The following pokemon stuff was just from a PokéPark or something. The gameplay is miserable, the story is made a lot more awful, the rival is more awful, (you will only have Wally), etc.
THAT would be the worst game ever. Not because it's objectively the worst, but because people had high expectations.

Each area you have to go to to progress is seperated by a body of water larger than Hoenn, a town with less to do than one of the Sevii Islands except for a stupid sidequest/minigame you have to do before leaving, and a cave full of Zubats. There is no Fly HM, period. After every Gym you will find the next route is blocked and you need an HM, but the only Pokemon that can learn it is in an area at the opposite end of the map that you could not have entered until then. This Pokemon will be in the very end of a large mountain/cave/forest/sea route. It has a 0.001% encounter rate and the same area will be filled with Bidoof, Zubat and Tentacool. The pokemon will be faster than any Pokemon you could possibly have at this point in the game and only knows Memento. Also, all the music is Lavender Town music.
