I'm playing white and emerald for the first time at the same time. It's weird how linear unova's map is, like along the storyline there's so few opportunities or incentives to leave the main quest to explore a place for yourself. In Hoenn, there's so much to do and the map is fucking junctions upon junctions, you can get about really easily before you get fly.

I'll give you that BW1 had no postgame, and BW2's story was weaker than BW1, but how the fuck can you think that it had an overall shit story? It had easily the best story in any of the main series games.

BW deconstructs and then reconstructs the entirety of pokemon through the course of the game. Game Freak did a really good job on the story given how unimportant it is in pokemon.

This is why I couldn't enjoy it, the whole story is a bunch of meta jokes on Pokémon. The story by itself is just as bland if not worse than other games.

Also, N is an ass, but is treated like Jesus. I can give them the story, but butchering the Intro for his sake, really?

The one thing the BW Special does well is the reaction people have to N: creeping out.
