The one thing I look forward to the most in each new gen is the Ghost-types. Gamefreak is usually pretty good about making them legitimately creepy and evil. What new Ghost-type combinations do you think we'll see in XY?

What about a ghost oak tree? Grass and ghost, can use fire blast, moves are centered about draining hp, and it has good physical def.

a Grass/Ghost 'Great Pumpkin' sort of thing could be pretty cool. Probably wouldn't see much use in OU/UU unless it was a pseudolegendary or a baller-ass sweeper though.

Ghost/Steel suit of armor.
Ghost/Fighting spirit of dead Hitmon-family pokemon. Evolves when Hitmonlee, Chan or Top are knocked out in battle in a certain area.
Ghost/Dark mummy pseudolegendary.

Hell, Grass/Ghost is practical for nothing at all: that thing would probably sink to NU.

Ghost/Steel is something I want, but a cliche suit of armor's not. It would basically be metal Golurk: no thanks.

Having to kill your pokemon to catch 'em all? Yeah: not happening.

We already have a mummy, and a Sableye evo would be preferable to that piece of shit you're suggesting.

Yeah GF has always been really good with ghost types, gen 5 ghosts are probably my least favorite but in hindsight it's probably because the sprites make them look bad and i often just view a lot of the designs there as poor, a lot of them would look great in other gens, although I'm still not feeling golurk line

I think the problem is Gamefreak being gun shy. The Ghost-type is really good and rich in resistances and immunities. If they make a Pokemon that's really good numbers wise a Ghost, it'll be catapulted into OU. This is also why most Dragons suck and the only ones we use are the off pseudo-legendary.
