>>12429627Eh, I don't know. Poochyena's name is misleading enough to straddle that line even if their body plans are 100% hyena. Growlithe/Arcanine do have the stripes, yes, but they're even the same COLOR as tigers. The Legendary Beasts I do think are mostly feline, but Suicune is based on a particular one which has traits of big cats, yes, but also dragons, unicorns, and deer. Basically, it's a hodgepodge of all sorts of things, and its face suggest that it's a herbivore, which big cats are NOT.
And the Eeveelutions are what gave me the idea in the first place - while several are feline (Espeon is basically a lavender cat with a split tail, Leafeon looks very cat-like to me, and Umbreon basically is a melanistic serval with yellow rings), Eevee itself is based on a fennec fox. The others just ended up getting sorted into that category while I tried to work out how the fuck Eeveelutions worked.
