The only third game so to speak I got was actually a fourth game: Yellow, but it was the third overseas. I never got any of the other versions beyond the first two in any of the gens. (I consider the remakes separate, but still in the same gen) For a while, I was entertaining the idea of getting BW2, but when I thought about it, it was no better than any of the other expanded versions. (that and the plot in BW2 is bland as all get out) I honestly think that the only reason the expanded versions are favored because of the attention they bring to competitive level challenges. I am not a competitive player, so this doesn't matter to me. Regardless of what anyone says, I will still get the first two games of any gen and I doubt anyone really does just wait for the expansion since the first two games are when everything is new and more exciting. Some of the things done in the expansions do make better sense, but that makes little difference to me as well. It's not like it makes it more difficult. (no, it doesn't, not in any of them. It's just higher levels, if you can't deal with that, then you're not that good to begin with)
