Dude appears to be assuming "X" as in Xerneas, the Legendary Pokemon of Pokemon X, getting an evolution, rather than "X" as in a known variable (something along the lines of X = "any given, specifically named pokemon") as you appear to have intended it.

The elemental punches fell out of favor after Gen 3. Being able to hit for supereffective damage doesn't translate to KOs.

Banette's biggest problem is that it's built like an offensive mon when it works better as a supporter.
