In Gen VI, transferred Pokémon from Gen V can not be used in tournaments to prevent people generating Pokémon cheating. Pokémon caught in VI will therefore have a special code/ID/badge so they won't be mixed up with transferred ones.

Do you think this should this be implemented?

it doesnt matter because editing the save file of a 3ds game is absolutely possible and there will be a gen VI pokegen-type program, I guarantee it.

They already use ways to check for hacked mons. But if something is IV abused you can't really tell.

Fuck no. What they SHOULD do is change IVs and Hidden Power so hackers don't have a huge advantage over legitimate players and dynamically keep track of illegal movesets so they can't go online.

It would be interesting if Gamefreak tried to make Pokemon competitive on their own. Like making it not take as long to get a perfect pokemon, actual decent online match-making, just showing you EVs and IVs ingame (they could take this opportunity to revamp the system), cracked down on hacking, etc.

That's not gonna happen though.

People have RNG abused gen 3 games. It's really fucking hard though, whereas in Gen 5 it's trivially easy once you get the initial stuff set up.
