Is there a nice spot to level a Drifblim, Aipom and Gastrodon in Pearl? Lost half my team to Cyrus and Palkia.
So far I've been using my VS Seeker on Route 214, killing Goldeen, Golking with my Drifblim, because they only know normal type moves and cant hurt Drifblim at all, and Ponyta with my Gastrodon. Aipom holds an Exp. Share.

I'd like a place where I can easily level up and get some EVs I actually need. Speed on Gastrodon and Attack on Drifblim kinda sucks.

I can't offer any advice, the only gen 4 nuzlocke I beat was diamond and I didn't have any of the above pokemon. Best of luck anon

I went completely random on everything.
Also, my starter choices are Houndoom, Wobbuffet, and Pidgeot. Who should I pick?

OP here, I'm playing New Yellow ( a FR hack from the nuzlocke forums which converts FR into a Yellow remake)
Headed to the sevii islands right now with this team.
INB4 legendaries are cheating, it was the first thing I saw in seafoam islands

Is there a way of getting a nuzlocke-esque experience without grinding and thereby taking all the fun out of it?

I'm about to start my first nuzlocke and I fear that I'll just overcompensate for the risk of dying by overgrinding and being overly cautious (ie, running back to the pokemon center after every battle) to the point where it's just a tedious chore.

My highest level pokemon can only be as high as the gym leaders highest level pokemon. I don't know if this solves your problem, but it helped keep my grinding in check.
