Got a brand new Shiny. I think this makes 4 for me.

Idk about evolving it. At least Lickylicky has a good shiny palette, but it's still Lickylicky.

How much time have you guys put into pokemon to find them? I've probably only put 300 hours or so in, and didn't know about them until I stumbled upon them on bulbapedia a few months ago.

A long time dude. I had like 400 hours on HG alone before restarting it. And I went a while without playing it frequently.

If you have Platinum it's easier. You just shiny chain. That's how I got my Shinx/Luxray which is one of my favorite shinies.

I remember reading someone who was hatching thousands of eggs to get a shiny dratini, and I just was like what are you fucking doing that's like spending time trying to catch a magikarp but he was too much in denial to listen to me.

Gen4: Caught a shiny Starly, Meditite and Banette in Pearl (Without chaining I might add). Caught a shiny Bellsprout and Staravia in Platinum.

Gen5: Caught a shiny Patrat in White. Randomly hatched a shiny Buneary (Without using MM) and also caught a shiny Ditto in Pokemon Black. Caught a shiny Lilipup about 3 hours into Black 2.

Found a shiny Golduck in Pokemon Silver. Couldn't catch it because I had no Pokeballs so i spent my days looking for him until Ruby and Sapphire came out.

Found a shiny Golbat in Sky Pillar. Didn't know that shinies still existed and I killed him.

Found a shiny Zubat in Black 2 while I was in Castelia Sewers. I had my Servine out and he had Pignite. I tried attacking Pignite and he attacked Zubat. I threw my DS in anger dislodging the game meaning that it wasn't registered in the shiny dex which was worst case scenario :(

On another note;
Shiny Coballion (SR)
I was having a competition with my mate. I SR'd Coballion and he SR'd Kyureum. He beat me by 10 minutes. He has perfect 31 in Defence for IVs, but other than that it sucks.
Shiny Pidove
Started a new game and it shone. It was a shame it sucked as well.
Shiny Golduck
Randomly found after Undella Town. Horrible IVs but it is beautiful.
Shiny Dustox
Found in Pearl with the chick in the first forest.Thank god her Chansey couldn't deliver a big hit.

A Zoroark and a Raichu found on the GTS Negotiations, traded the Zoroark to my friend and kept the Raichu.

Also, I dunno why, but I took pics of his stats page and stuff to keep as a trophy or something. I could make a close copy of him on pokegen based on that info, but it's just not the same.

Never caught/found a Shiny. I've dedicated at least 100 hours to every gen. Never found a shiny. My friend on the other hand finds them left and right. Yesterday he found a shiny Stantler but had no Pokeballs. A couple weeks ago he was starting a Fire Red Rom but he had a problem with the save so he lost it.

Second was a Staravia. I was considering evolving it so I leveled it up, but I never did.
Third and Fourth were 2 Shiny Female Shinx. I'm going to trade one to my friend eventually, though.
They were all Pokeradar Pokemon. Staravia was obtained with a mere chain of 9.
