Who is excited for Smash tonight?

My expectations for Smash today: 1/10

On topic..

My expectations for E3: 9001/10

Predictions:
>two new types
>travel to Hoenn, Unova, or Kanto after obtaining Kalos badges(I chose Kanto or Hoenn because it could be an effective way to reel in genwunners)
>Sylveon Reveal

.. I mean, what else are they going to talk about for 90 minutes?

Let's look at the bigger picture

>3DS is selling okay
>XY may be the most anticipated game the console will ever see

how can Game Freak absolutely make waves through all gamer demographics? By making Kanto or Hoenn accessible in the after-game. You can't look at me with a straight face and tell me people wouldn't lose their shit. Also, possible spoiler vv

I mean, isn't there a reliable rumor floating around that a Professor in Kalos will give you a Kanto starter after completing the game? That in itself, if true, is questionable at best and may even confirm Kanto is related in some way

My expectations for Smash: They'll do another skit with the creepy Eevee cosplayers raping Shokotan, and we'll find out another type that is strong against/weak to Sylveon, and for another week, fairyfags (whom I include myself in) will lord it over flyingfags that Sylveon's a new type.

My hope: that they just outright declare that Sylveon's a fairy, and explain some of the new type's mechanics. Maybe even reveal another Fairy Pokemon, talk about the Togepi and Clefairy lines being retyped, and reveal a new Pokemon.

You and me don't need them because we've already completed our Pokedexes and gotten all the starters from Platinum and HG/SS. But the unovabortions might not've had the opportunities we did, so it wouldn't surprise me if they did put Kanto starters in. Remember that we're not the primary demographic.

I would be completely cool with fairy type. Though I must say, anon, that it could be called something more unisex for the sake of the franchise. Nevermind the /vp/preon manchildren in their twenties who are uncomfortable with their sexuality or whatever, but consider 10 year old boys, aka the demographic Pokemon is intended for. I'm thinking GF won't call it fairy type for the sole purpose of possibly segregating their fan base, in the event that it is Fairy.

Either way, I'm cool.

You DO know that the pokemon fanbase's gender ratio is split 50/50?

It's targeted just as much to both genders.

At least where I am, I never saw many girls who were into Pokémon until I got to college (which of course is way out of the target demographic). It might be different in other parts of the world, it might even be different in other parts of the United States, but while the Pokémon franchise might be equally targeted to young boys and young girls in theory, I've only ever seen it being a "boy" thing.
