I really wanted a Hoenn remake, but I haven't heard any news on it. Is there any hope in it? In my opinion it was one of the best gens, and I would love to see it get an upgrade. Though I can't really think what the names would be.

Hoenn remake speculation/discussion, I guess.

All that would do is split the attention of the fans and possibly hurt the sales of either game.

Emerald pretty much disbanded both Team Magma and Team Aqua, with the leaders being totally cool with it.

If the X&Y regional Pokedex leak posted a few nights ago was true, Gen 3 Pokemon are common as fuck again like in Gen 5 and you can catch Gen 1 and Gen 3 legendaries on various maps of Kalos post-game.

Other than that, they are probably done with remakes. FRLG and HGSS were to bring the gameboy games into the modern systems since RBYGSC exist in their own bubble. Those who played the Hoenn games over 10 years ago transferred out their Pokemon long ago. It's too bad if you're just discovering Gen III. That generation of games is no longer relevant.

Those of you using emulators aren't going to be able to play any Hoenn remakes for years thanks to the 3DS, even if they announce one tomorrow.
