Sure, your finely tuned monsters are at the whim of the computer, or your opponent, but you know them better than your opponent does, so you just have to have a counter to yourself. Which means making an entire team that can counter itself, which makes sense anyway, since that forces you to have high coverage. Mix battles are such a game changer without being different styles, like Rotation etc. that it makes things interesting, and increases the challenge.
