>>12460823>/battle?Do you mean like... a cosplay battle? I was at one convention where that happened and it was honestly very stupid. People took videos and photos but it really wasn't anything to marvel at. How are you supposed to know when you/your Pokemon faint? Etc. Having battle-posed photos at photoshoots are not uncommon, but being alone and being asked to 'battle' another cosplayer has never happened to me and I doubt it ever will. If you mean being asked to pull out your DS and battle, I haven't ever really been asked that without first initiating it. Plenty of people will want to if you ask, but otherwise they might not consider it.
>PicturesAre challenging to avoid if you have a great costume, and are flattering to be asked for if your costume isn't all that great. If you cosplay a common character, many people may want to take your photo, but if you cosplay a common character and do a poor job, people could care less. Do a less common character, fewer people will recognize you, but those who do will want a photo regardless of your costume's quality.
>Conventions themselvesDepends on your age and if you like to party. Conventions are an excuse to party hard with all your adult friends for a weekend in goofy costumes and nerd out. There is lots of alcohol involved. At night. In hotel rooms. If you are younger or not into that, it really depends on what you want. I go for my friends, the dance, the costumes, and the partying. But others will go for the panels and guests. All depends on you.
