If pokemon were to exist, what would you expect to run across in your state (or country)?

I live in The Appalachian mountains in a small "city". I'd probably expect to run across a decent amount of pidove, zigzagoon, psyduck, and possibly zubats in my town. Outside of town you'd expect to run across deerling, sawbuck, and torkoal, In Point Pleasant you'd hear stories of sableye. The river would be filled with whiscash and feebas.
